Upside Down! Cool Reflections

This first picture is upside down!  What appears to be the real picture is actually the reflection!

These pictures were made a few years ago at a little park up in TN.

I came across these today while deleting and rearranging some pictures.

They looked cool and refreshing to me, so I thought I'd share them with you.

The lake was like a mirror the day we were there.

I hope your day is cool and refreshing and that you get rain, if it's dry and hot there like it is here!

Today's Butterflies

It's too hot to stay out long, but I stayed just long enough to catch a few butterflies.

This last one was made a few days ago.  When I downloaded it I saw that I had captured FOUR insects on the Zinnia!

Another Day ~ Another Hummer

Good Morning, Zinnia!

I'll just perch here near the goodies.

See, I'm light as a feather!

This is the hard part.

I have to go into each tiny part of the flower to get a drop of nectar!

Mine!  All mine!  Back off!

Turn on the fan!  It's hot out here!

Now, this is something I can always count on!

Goodbye!

Tuesday's Hummer

This cute little guy is waiting to chase the others away.

I think this is a young male..see the tiny red spot on his throat.

I put up a bushel of peas in the freezer, and just happened to see him as I was working in the kitchen late yesterday.

I think he's telling the others to back off!

Happy Monday!

The Tiger Swallowtail flits from flower to flower collecting drops of nectar.

The bromeliad bloom a few days later.

Still later

I think this is a Spicebush butterfly.  One of these days I'm going to learn how to identify all these beauties;-)

I can hardly ever catch a hummer in the air.  This tomato plant is in the flower bed.

This hummer found a perch where she can watch for other hummers and run them away!

This big Eastern Tiger Swallowtail came by about noon today.

I never tire of making pictures of butterflies.

Someone remind to plant more Zinnias next year!  The butterflies and hummingbirds love these!
