Prayers for Jeep, please!

AUG. 2, UPDATE:  Jeep's surgery went well.  They did two by-passes, as expected.  He MAY get out of ICU tomorrow or the next morning.  He SAYS he is not in pain and has not had any pain medication.  He has stood up and sat up on the side of the bed as well as sat in the recliner.  All his vital signs are good and they have taken out 2 of the many tubes/IVs.  I have stayed in ICU with him all day.  Going back to the motel for the night.

UPDATE:  Here we are at the Methodist North Hospital at 6: A.M.
They are prepping him for the surgery.

UPDATE:  SURGERY IS SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 1st ABOUT 11:00 A.M.

This was the day Debbie wanted to make engagement pictures for the invitation to to Engagement Party my classmates  (and Debbie) planned for me.   We actually didn't plan to wear matching shirts!!!  It just happened!

This was at the church office where I worked.

We are on cloud nine at our wedding!

At our wedding we were praying for many happy years together.
We've had a little over six of those years, and we are so thankful to God for them.
Tonight, we are praying for successful heart surgery, so we can many more happy years!

A special moment on one of our trips.

Sharing a 'funny' at a family reunion.

Enjoying our hobby of photography together at the  Hummingbird festival.

This is a picture of Jeep I made at a Ham Fest, and it continues to be my favorite.

We go to see the Heart Surgeon tomorrow and we are hoping they can go ahead and do the surgery in the next few days.  We know he will have two by-passes.  Please find a few minutes to offer up a prayer that it will be successful and that he will have a quick recovery.

Pretty happy since Joe came and transferred all my pictures and data to my new computer!!
Now, if we can just get Jeep's heart repaired successfully, I will be REALLY happy!

Waiting Room Thoughts....

Update  3:30 P.M.:  One artery is 100% blocked and one is 70% blocked.  The Dr. is going to talk with the surgeon and see when they can do the surgery.  It is Jeep's decision to go ahead and let them do the surgery, but as of now, we don't know when that will be.  I'll let you know.  We will be staying overnight here.

I brought my laptop cumputer to help me pass the time as I wait in this little room for them to bring Jeep back from having the heart catheterization done.   Just looking through my pictures and remembering some of the many good times we have had.

I guess seeing all this snow, as we crossed the Bear Tooth Mountains, made me cold.  They said to ask for anything I wanted, so I asked for a warm blanket!  It feels great.  BTW, I was scared to death as I made this picture!  I had visions of Jeep sliding down into the lake many feet below!!

The next two were made in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

This picture was made on such a happy day, as you can see by Jeep's face.
Flash forward to the present:
I drove to Memphis and out to the Methodist Hospital North today.  I knew I would have to drive home and I wanted to see if I could handle it.  Between me, Jeep, and the Lord, we made it just fine. (I did a lot of praying, so it was mostly the Lord!),  This was the first time I had driven in Memphis, and I thought I might be a little old to try it.

We arrived at the hospital about eleven and they took Jeep back about 1:00 P.M.

Keep Jeep in your prayers and let's hope they find and fix his problems.

Well, "Bye for now", and I'll report when we know something.

Love and Prayers

LOVE
When we returned from a recent vacation trip, we found that lightning had run in and destroyed our home phone service, the DSL Internet line, the electric tankless water heater, the central AC, the Davis weather station, the Direct TV receiver and my computer!!!  When we went outside to check on the phone line, I was holding back the long branches of the butterfly bush so Jeep could get to the phone box, when I looked down and saw this almost perfect heart-shaped leaf.  The other leaves on the bush are long and slim !

Speaking of hearts, Jeep is going to have a heart cath. in Memphis on Wednesday.  He has been having some problems and we are hoping they can find and correct the problem before it gets worse.  If they find that he needs a stent, they will place it at that time.
We would appreciate your prayers very much!
Thanks!

Niagara Falls

While on our recent trip to see our grandson and his family in the suburbs of Chicago, we decided to go on to Niagara Falls.  Jeep made the picture above, and it's one of my favorites.  I just love the composition of it!

Road sign as we entered NY.

We accidentally went to Canada because we got in the wrong traffic lanes and had to 'go with the flow'.  They finally let us back into the USA :)

Yes, we dared to venture out on this for a better view.

Above the falls

The rapids above the falls.

This one is to prove that Jeep was there.

It was late afternoon when we arrived and they had stopped the tours on the Maid of the Mist for the day.

We found a friendly couple, (as usual) who made some pictures of us.  After we made their picture,  the young man said, "We had been having a major disagreement when we got here, but after seeing  you together and observing your love for each other, we decided to patch it up."
I thought, wouldn't it be great if people could see Jesus in us just from being around us for a little while!

Below is a one minute video we made.

The video below is from You Tube and I think you will enjoy some different views of the falls.
